Hi Reader, There's just about nothing I love more than a book pairing, and what better pairing is there than an adaptation?! I always watch on my Samsung Frame TV (the TV that looks like art), so to celebrate Samsung's Spring Discover Sale (including the Frame TV), I rounded up the book adaptations I'm most looking forward to watching in 2025: Long Bright River (Peacock March 13): I'm counting down the days until the release of one of my favorite thrilling family dramas/police procedurals in years. It's set in Philly and stars Amanda Seyfried. The Summer I Turned Pretty (Season 3 Amazon Prime Summer 2025): This coming-of-age drama set at the beach is one of the best adaptations I've seen. It will be back with three extra episodes this season per fan demand! Think of it as a modern-day Dawson's Creek. The Housemaid (theatres December 25): This thriller book is still on my list, but seeing behind-the-scenes glimpses at the New Jersey filming on social media has been fun. Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney are starring in it. I swear I'm going to read it soon! Hamnet (Theatres sometime in 2025): Filming has wrapped on the adaptation of this stunning novel about the death of Shakespeare's son, which inspired Hamlet. Paul Mescal (from the Normal People adaptation) is starring. Swoon! Wicked, For Good (Theatres November 21): Part 1 rocked in 2024, so I have no doubt Part 2 will rock in 2025. Animal Farm (Netflix July 11): This summer release date is the perfect timing for this required reading, which I read during my own first year of high school. It will be fun for members of my Rory Gilmore Book Club to read and watch, especially since it's such a short and popular book! Regretting You (Theatres October 24): This was the first Colleen Hoover book I read, and I think the story will delight many new readers. It's more about grief and starting over than it is about a steamy romance. I really liked it. And I certainly hope this adaptation isn't as controversial as Hoover's last... The Woman in Cabin 10 (Netflix sometime in 2025): This was Ruth Ware's most popular thriller-- a locked room mystery set on a cruise ship. I enjoyed the book, plus a book sequel is coming out soon, so I can't wait to see the adaptation of the original starring Keira Knightley. Frankenstein (Netflix in November 2025): This classic has been on my list forever, so I think this fall will be the season I read and watch it. Jacob Elordi stars. So spooky! People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix 2025): This will be the first adaptation of Emily Henry's book, so seeing how her popular contemporary romance novels translate to the screen will be exciting. I'm thinking well, since her dialogue is so sharp. I'm excited to see Lucien Laviscount from Emily in Paris in it! Whether you're watching on your Samsung Frame TV like me or not, I hope you found a few book adaptation pairings to add to your list. Samsung's Spring Discover Sale ends on Sunday 3/9, and you can also find other products, like the Galaxy phone and appliances on sale.

Hi Reader, Happy Independent Bookstore Day! I'll be celebrating at my new local shop and getting coffee with a local Bookstagrammer. Independent bookstores are vital to your local economy. But your indie bookstores often struggle to compete with big-box stores, particularly online. (For example, Amazon can take losses on books because they make up the profits elsewhere. Your local indie cannot.) To celebrate this holiday, learn more about why independent bookstores matter and how you can...
